What is a Layer. Every pic or graphics have at least one layer. That layer is the most important. For example: If you have a pen image into Photoshop. There is a one background layer and one layer of a pen. Basic there are two layers in the layer panel. With PNG transparency. Alpha channel have no background layer. But the pen layer is present. Every graphics make a image from the bit raster technique. For the non digital devices via vertical/horizontal lines. For the digital devices via digital boxes. One set of image called a layer into the Photoshop. Making with the lines and dots any kind of image called the graphics. 

What is the Artist. As the name of artist. Who person that can drawing with lines or dots. Called a graphics artist. Who should make an image on the paper, Computer, Wall and other places. That is artist. For the artist job. In these days Photoshop is no 1 software in the world. 

Color channels in image. Every image have at last two color (Black & white) for the details. With the basic more colors (RGB) Red, Green and blue. The color display of image is very common. To mix the color into images. There in Photoshop have color plate for the artist. User can manage and transport more colors from there. Shortcut commands for the colors mixing into Photoshop. CTRL+B, CTRL+M, CTRL+U, CTRL+I. CTRL+L are very useful.

Layer style. From the double click on left side at a layer. Layer style option box will open. User can adjust the value of layer outer/inner, Border, and much more for the layer.
